The sport season of rifle shooting is in full swing

The coronavirus situation in the Czech Republic has started to develop favorably and some government measures have been relaxed. This made it possible to start the sport shooting season, and so, despite certain restrictions, several competitions have been held in the Czech Republic and the CZ Shooting Team shooters have picked up their first few successes.

Achievements of the CZ Shooting Team

On Saturday, May 23, the National Rifle Tetrathlon Championship took place, where Martin Šlechta won in the men’s category and Tomáš Staněk took second place, only one point behind the winner. A day later, our shooters collected medals in the National Championship in Combined Game Shooting. This time the gold medal was claimed by Tomáš Staněk, and Martin Šlechta placed third.

CZ Match

A week later, CZ in cooperation with the Czech Association of Hunting Rifle Shooting held a CZ Match competition in Světnov near Žďár nad Sázavou. The competitors competed for valuable prizes, including, among other, two CZ rifles. CZ had prepared for the winner its classical CZ 557 Lux II centerfire rifle with walnut stock, and a randomly drawn competitor won the practical CZ 557 Eclipse. The shooters of the CZ Shooting Team Martin Šlechta and Tomáš Staněk also participated in this competition. They did not disappoint again and took the gold and bronze medals.

Czech Championship in Combined Game Shooting 2020

The same duo of CZ shooters has taken part in the Czech Championship in Combined Game Shooting 2020. The championship, organized by Czech Clay Target Shooting Association (ASAT), took place on June 7 in Písek. This time our shooters missed the gold by several points, but, nevertheless, the ranking they achieved was excellent. Martin Šlechta took the silver medal and Tomáš Staněk finished fourth.

We are glad that it is the CZ Shooting Team shooters who reap a number of great results, and we would like to thank them for their excellent representation. We will keep fingers crossed in future competitions as well!
